Yosemite, October 2018

Autumn. If you are not looking at the foliage of New England in October and you are on the West Coast, go to Yosemite. We did and it was beautiful. We tent camped along side our friends with a RV and the weather was beautiful for hiking, sight seeing and sitting around the fire pit in the evening. They do have bears there and as a child one went through our campsite and got into our garbage. Nowadays they have bear lockers where you can store your food while you are sleeping or out hiking. You get fined if you forget to do so. I left out our dogs water bowl and that was a no-no. I got off with just a warning. Whew! One in our group went out for a morning walk with his husky “Brando” and they did see a mama bear and her cub further up the path. They stayed still and all was well. I asked if he took a picture and he said No because he was busy fearing for his life. Anyway, here are some beautiful pictures of Yosemite for you to enjoy.

I thought that it was so cute that Louise wanted to look over the bridge to the river, that I called to Thelma and patted the top of the stones. She jumped and all four of her feet landed on top of the bridge and fortunately I was solid enough in my footing that I caught her. Scary!
