So lets start with an early Christmas with our Grandson Lucas. He couldn’t be any sweeter but he sure is getting taller. You can look at him and see what he is going to look like as a grownup. He is such a handsome guy.
We had some visitors from Santa Barbara and Washington State. Jon’s sister Karen and her sons, Brian and Jeremy came for an early Christmas visit here. We cooked, played games, went to the new plaza shopping for a vintage collection of gifts and such and even went over to Old Sacramento for the day. One evening Joey joined us for dinner, games and early Christmas. We spatchcocked a chicken and made Emeril Lagassee’s Scalloped Potatoes. Spatchcocked became a verb in some of the next games.

We left for Los Angeles a few days before Christmas. It normally takes about 6 hours but because of traffic and a horrible storm it took 9 and 1/2 hours. We were so happy to be there. It is so nice to see the magic of Christmas through a child’s eyes.
