During the Pandemic we have a new way of eating. It is not so much new as it is a different schedule. My husband works U.K. hours here in California – 4:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (ish!) So he gets up early and I get up around 7 ish then watch the TODAY show to make sure the world is still turning. We have Brunch around 9:00 a.m…. I watch The View (no judgement please…..lol) then get on with my day. Usually a shower followed by doing laundry, working in the yard, taking the dogs to the mailbox……(I can feel how hard you are trying to contain your excitement) and then Jon gets off work. We have been experimenting a lot in the kitchen and one of our favorite things to do is to have a fancy snack with wine around 3:00 p.m. I guess you could call that “day drinking” but in any case we really enjoy being in our kitchen. (and Wine) We have dinner and watch more TV, and usually are in bed between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. snuggled up with our dogs Thelma and Louise. Wash, Rinse, and Repeat!
Some of the fancy snacks we have made, besides the above Crab Fritters, were our Stir Fried Shishito Peppers with Garlic Aioli Dipping sauce and Spicy Edamame which we learned is called Edadaddy! True Story. We also have some soy sauce to dip them in if we get the urge. I stir fry both dishes in Sesame Oil, Chili Oil, and slivered Garlic.
We are also not above eating Cheddar Ranch Bugles !!
