Camping at Sly Park, Pollock Pines California

We finally had an opportunity to go camping here. We had reserved a spot twice but the weather didn’t cooperate. We ended up going in July of 2019. The weather was beautiful and we loaded up our car and Thelma and Louise and headed up into the Sierras.

When I say “loaded up” I wasn’t kidding

The website for more information on camping at Sly Park is above. It has a big beautiful lake for recreational water sports, fishing and there are numerous hiking trails. Here are a few glorious pictures of our campsite and time there.

There are many campgrounds in California that are just lovely. The only drawback to this one is that there were no shower facilities, according to me. We like to fish and usually I like to wash the worms and fishiness off after that activity, otherwise it is a great campground to stay at in the beautiful Sierras.
