Book: The Life Impossible, by Matt Haig

In “The Life Impossible” retired Math teacher Grace Winters, grapples with grief and regrets, unexpectantly inherits a house in Ibiza from a long-lost friend and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and transformation, encountering magic and new possibilities.

Since we were reading a book about life in Ibiza, an island off of Spain, we decided to make a luncheon of Tapas. What a great lunch. Jeanine was the hostess and she made a delicious Sangria and some spicy Deviled eggs and Chicken Taquitos. Lynne made a Paella that was to die for with Chorizo and Shrimp. I made some Crostinis with Manchego (Spanish) cheese and a plate of Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce and Babs brought some awesome Guacamole, Salsa and Chips. I love our girls and our luncheons. JoAnne was visiting family in Canada and Robyn was working…… and we missed them.

This was a good book but everyone has different tastes. Some loved it……some did not. There is always good conversations and discussions about the current books we are reading, the foods we cooked, but eventually it always come back to “Girl Talk” which is a nice way of saying Gossip and sex.
