Morro Bay

It had been quite awhile since I had been to the central coast of California. I went to college in Santa Maria which is very close to Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and Morro Bay. I hadn’t been back in many years. Our friend was celebrating her 60th birthday and our group of 8 (7 this trip, Dean was performing in “Something Rotten”) rented a beautiful home in Morro Bay. It even had a view of the Rock.

We took a few day trips which included beach combing in Cambria, lunch at Linn’s restaurant and shopping in Cambria as well. We went shopping in Pismo Beach and had a fun lunch and beautiful view and dinner at “The Windows on the Water” restaurant.

The last full day there, Dee Dee, Jason,Joanne, Will and Art went kayaking around the bay and Jon and I went for a coastal drive then headed to Shell Beach and hung out on the promenade to people watch……and we enjoyed it so much we saved a spot for the rest of our group and ordered wine and appetizers. It was so much fun.

I so enjoyed this trip that I have vowed to visit the central coast more often. In fact, I am looking to rent a home there sometime to enjoy with my kids and Grandkids.

Goodbye for now Morro Bay.
