Chocolate Banoffee Pie

Banoffee Pie has its origins in England. When we traveled a lot to London before we moved there, we would be served little biscuits (cookies) on the plane. Biscoff by Lotus.

They are also called Speculoos. You can find them at Trader Joe’s. They make a great crust. Great Britain has a number of desserts, or as they call them puddings, with interesting names. For instance there is Eton Mess, Knickerbocker Glory, Jam Roly-Poly, Syllabub, Figgy Pudding and many more. One of the people that we became good friends with in London said that when he found out we were moving to Sacramento, he thought that was the weirdest name for a city he had ever heard. I said, “Really Chris, and Tooting Bec in normal!”
