International Lunch

Way back in 2009, we were going to go on a Mediterranean Cruise. There would be six of us. We decided to make an International Lunch based on the ports we would be visiting. So before we departed on our trip, we celebrated with an international lunch for our friends made at home. Our cruise, Holland America Line, started in Venice. So naturally our food started with Antipasto.

For an added touch we sat on the floor on pillows and I used some plates that I picked up in Switzerland that were actually from Italy. Our next stop would be Split, Croatia.

We had stops in Greece….. Athens and Olympia. We also went to the islands of Santorini and Mykonos. Our final stop was in Turkey. For this portion of our lunch we made Chicken Kabobs over Rice Pilaf and Baklava topped with Pistachios.

So there you have it, a little trip around Europe and inspiration for an International Lunch. Enjoy.
