Books N Cooks #7

Our next Galley match from Book Club Cookbook was The Paris Orphan by Natasha Lester. http://www.bookclubcookbook.com

Her previous book was the Paris Seamstress

The Paris Orphan spans continents and crosses generations as an American soldier and a photographer brave occupied France in World War II to help a little girl have the one thing she’s never had: a family.

The story jumps from New York City and Paris in 1942 to France in 2005. It is an emotional tale rich with very well drawn characters and interwoven into a duel timeline and historical fiction fans will love it. It is full of mystery and passion.

We decided to do a French Pot luck and my dish was: French Bread Pesto Chicken Pizza.

We also had Tuna Tapenade, Porquerolles Island Toasted Almonds, and Arugula and Escarole Salad with Blue Cheese, Figs, and Warm Port Dressing. Yep, that’s right we do it up big for our Book Club Menus. Cest Magnifique !
