Westerham, England

This is as beautiful as the English countryside gets. Westerham is as westerly as you can get before crossing into Surrey. It is regarded as the gateway to the Garden of England and is nestled in the valley of the River Darent. We decided to take a country walk here one day. These are some of the pictures that may entice you into a stroll through this country side hamlet.

The town is also home to Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill and also to war hero General James Wolfe.

At the start of the walk there is a quaint church with a beautiful cemetery. There are lovely greens where you could have a picnic lunch after your walk, or a pint in a pub. Many choices for a beautiful afternoon in the English Countryside.

One of my favorite photos is of this Angel in the cemetery.
Post Walk and a very welcoming bench!
